For the first time, we are providing an opportunity for visitors to Rhyd yr Onw to enjoy our 67 acres of hill land, pasture and woodland in the quiet tranquility of West Wales. The land here has an extraordinary healing quality, a deep magic and mystery.
It is suitable for individuals, couples or small groups.
We can accommodate upto around 10 people.

The Main House
In the main building, there is a large well lit room with vaulted ceiling which provides a lovely space for small groups of upto 10. It is suitable for yoga, artwork, creative writing, or simply to relax and enjoy. There is also a double futon settee here which can provide extra sleeping place for 2.
The kitchen is adjacent, with an electric cooker, 2 fridges, and a large dining table. Cutlery, plates, saucepans, etc. are all provided, as well as handtowels and tea towels. The bathroom (also downstairs) has a bath and shower, toilet and handbasin. We do use our own spring water and therefore ask that people are mindful and conserve this precious resource.
Upstairs, there is a bedroom that can sleep upto 5 people, with mattresses (but not bed linen) provided.
There is also a conservatory and large garden area, totally private, in which to enjoy the sun and beauty of the land.
We do not provide a televison or Wi Fi. There is mobile phone reception.
The Hogan
This is based on a Navajo design, the traditional 8 sided structure of the Dineh. Many Navajo ceremonies are about returning to a state of beauty, of balance and harmony within and around. Our intention in building the hogan was to create a place for restoration, where our spirit could connect with the natural world, to return to a state of balance and harmony. We have created a wonderfully light and spacious space, that indeed does bring extraordinary healing and restoration. You can sleep in here, and it is also a great place for yoga and meditation. There is no elecricity so light is by candles and we request that people do not bring alcohol into the building.
Please note there is no toilet in this building, nor cooking facilities. The main house is about 150 yards away.

The top land is untouched moorland, one of the last places in our area where the larks can still nest. The track drops down into the side of the valley, and here there is pasture, filled with wildflowers in the summer. Along the lower part of the valley is ancient woodland with holly, oak, ash and hazel. There is a sense of timelessness here among the moss covered trees, a magical quality and a sense of a mystical Otherworld.
